Criteria for membership
Eastern Ohio Conservation Club has a sponsorship program in place in order for anyone to apply. A current member in good standing and having been a member of the club for more than one year can sponsor a candidate for the opportunity to go through the interview process
Fishing
The board voted to open up fishing and allow fish to be harvested per the following MINIMUM size restrictions: Bass must be at least 14"; Crappie at least 11"; Blue gill / Sunfish at least 8"; Hybrid Blue gill at least 8"; Perch at least 8"; Shell Crackers at least 8"; Catfish no size restriction. These size restrictions were recommended by Fenders who have helped us over the past 3 years as we have worked to recover the lake. This policy will be reviewed again in the spring of 2016
Rifle Range
The rifle range is now open again EXCEPT on Sundays during skeet and Wednesday evenings during trap. All members are reminded to NOT drive on the grass while the ground is soft. Please park in the designated parking areas.Work Board
• Cut pheasant pen weeds & turn around • Guard rail for bridge • Flag pole Painted • Wash Fence • Trim weeds, mulch skeet house etc. • Trim road trees • Stack Wood • Road holes filled • Eocc sign, cleaned up/Painted • Empty trash barrels - shooting range picnic area fill holes by the dam Clear out old garage Clean picnic tables • Fix Grill • Mop floors in Building A complete list is posted in the clubhouse with further instructions. Members looking to buy their fishing or hunting licenses should support our outlets at: Reds, Walmart-Austintown, K- Mart-Austintown.
